Niezwykłe jest spojrzenie na naszą planetę z perspektywy nieskończonego kosmosu...

Ziemia – miejsce, które na co dzień wydaje się ogromne i pełne życia – wśród miliardów galaktyk, gwiazd i planet okazuje się maleńka, niemal niewidoczna. Ta konstatacja zastanawia, ale również budzi pokorę i zaciekawia. Skłania też do refleksji nad tym, kim jesteśmy my, ludzie, wobec bezkresu przestrzeni, w której istniejemy. Czy jesteśmy tak samo mało ważni, jak nasza Ziemia? Czy nasze życie, troski, rozterki, problemy nie są nic warte?

Tegoroczny temat ma Was zachęcić do zatrzymania się na chwilę i podjęcia próby spojrzenia na świat z innej perspektywy. Warto zastanowić się nad naszym miejscem we wszechświecie, a może też naszym miejscem na Ziemi, nad rzeczywistym znaczeniem tego, co jest nam bliskie, a co wydaje się dalekie; tego, co jest dla nas ważne, a co wydaje się nieważne i nad relacją między tym, co małe, a tym, co nieskończenie wielkie. Inspiracją może stać się wszystko, co wiąże się z doświadczeniem istnienia na tej wyjątkowej planecie – dla nas jedynej takiej w nieskończonej przestrzeni.

Jako Jury ocenimy nakład włożonej w dzieło pracy twórczej – tej formalnej, związanej z kompozycją, kolorystyką i jakością wykonania, ale przede wszystkim tej myślowej: Waszej i tylko Waszej interpretacji zadanego tematu. Chcemy zobaczyć grafiki i fotografie niebanalne, zaskakujące, naładowane emocją, po prostu... kosmiczne.

PS. Sprawdźcie wymogi techniczne zapisane w regulaminie! Sprawdźcie je kilka razy. Nie lubimy odrzucać prac, bo nie są poziome, bo nie są plikami pdf, bo mają za małą rozdzielczość. Niestety, sprawiedliwe traktowanie uczestników oznacza trzymanie się regulaminu.

Earth – a Speck in the Cosmos. A word from the Jury.

It is an extraordinary experience to look at our planet from the perspective of the infinite universe...

Earth – a place that in our everyday life seems vast and full of life – among billions of galaxies, stars, and planets turns out to be tiny, almost invisible. This realization makes us ponder, but it also evokes humility and curiosity. It invites reflection on who we, humans, are in the face of the boundless space in which we exist. Are we as insignificant as our Earth seems to be? Are our lives, worries, dilemmas, and problems truly of no importance?

This year’s theme is meant to encourage you to pause for a moment and try to look at the world from a different perspective. It is worth contemplating our place in the universe, and perhaps also our place on Earth — the true meaning of what feels close and what seems distant; of what we consider important and what appears trivial; and of the relationship between what is small and what is infinitely great. Inspiration may come from anything that connects to the experience of existing on this unique planet — for us, the only one of its kind in the infinite expanse.

As the Jury, we will assess the effort put into the creative work — both the formal one, expressed through composition, colour scheme, and quality of execution, and, above all, the conceptual one: your own, personal interpretation of the theme. We wish to see graphics and photographs that are original, thought-provoking, full of emotion — simply... cosmic.
